About the Founder
Sharon Mathew is the founder and current program leader of Grow With Science.
She noticed that middle schools in low-income areas often face challenges in providing students with the resources needed for a comprehensive science education. As a result, many are unable to meet the prerequisites for advanced science classes in high school, and may be discouraged to pursue their passions in science.
With a desire to address this issue, Sharon created Grow With Science, hoping to inspire and encourage students, especially those from underprivileged backgrounds, to explore their interests and pursue higher education and careers in the field of science.
